Slaves' Songs and Freedom

It may seem trivial and naive to suggest that we can use the codes that slaves in their Gospel songs to truly communicate. Unfortunately, these American blacks now believe the Gospels they used to their masters that they were happy and together with the slave driver. It may seem paranoid to suggest we are still slaves, even if we have a lot of goodies or three cars in the garage to have. The truth of our world civilization is not very civil. The wars we fight and limitsor trying to decide on the 'others' in a number of racist ideology that often includes real genocides. All religions are obviously trying not to know what God can not be from one place to another, differences and all life is part of it. They should start saying that all worship the same things and tell their followers that no one is better than anyone else.

This truth does not need the UN investigation of the events in Rwanda or what is happening in Darfur or Iraq and Irelandto let us know that the culprits, including the U.S. (NWO), the Anglican Catholic Church and their "brothers." This truth of Synarchy who sees the nations at war and espionage with each other, rather than leaving the average people the chance to share the technological potential gene therapy of life, the job of replacing nanotechnology, space colonization, and a lot of ways to get all the rich, without taking money away from anyone, it is unknown to the average person. The 'politicians sling mudtwo of the clubs themselves to run for the office of President of the United States, even though both are dedicated militarists who promise to protect the rights of the few against the rest of the world. These "fronts" for the interests of the business world that the long history of power, instead of wanting to share resources and productive without destroying nature to build need a thorough investigation. But people are confused and the media controlled by the same people who bought the media for the Fed (a private company of thieves), enterpower without any opportunity for people to choose new leaders. How can we sing a new tune? Can we at least have our slave masters (politicians and the media) to treat us with a little 'more respect and honesty? Consider the ingenuity shown by slaves and blacks in America as we begin to create community and harmony instead of war and hatred. This excerpt from a book titled Slavery and the creation of America deserves special attention, I think.

"The relationship between a slavedriver and the other slaves, in general, to the extent that it was willing or able to work around his master wants. A slave driver could also use its position to the detriment of the slaves, but did so at their own risk. Even if the slaves had little power and can exercise some collective power, had a driver who thought it was unfair to punish. A driver known to be brutal or unjust sentence itself can be found by his fellow slaves (Today's truth tellers among usdeal with the complaint it seems. Patriot Act II is not the only problem.) Who refused to join with him or even talk to him. other slaves to spread rumors about the competence of a director or his honesty to the house of the master, it undermines his authority, or could have had an accident. The driver's position forced him to maintain the balance of trust with the master who has the respect and cooperation of his fellow slaves. (11)

Clearly, the world of the slaves' was much more complicatedmost slave owners understood. The slave community supports its members as they dealt with the institution of slavery and human relationships within it. (This was a great family with children is provided by everyone and a real strong point is that the bosses are not as they fought against each other or screwed the slaves of indecent needs, neglecting their wives and relatives.) Under the power of the settlers, slaves were employed wit, imagination and creative use of information. They also have racial stereotypes whites' to their advantage whenever possible. Since it is generally believed that the slave connotation slaves' singing and contentment liabilities, the slaves used music to pass along messages, the pace of work to verify a suspected master to spawn, or comment on a thin person or a situation benefit or entertainment of fellow slaves. When the slaves sang 'rigmarole' roll for me. Thank God I did not ketch, 'the mostslaves understood the message of humor. Aimed at the slave patrols slaves, usually from poor white men not slaves, as 'roles chatter'.

This song was the story of slaves who escaped from the patrol with cunning and deceit. Steal a song urging slaves' out of Jesus "to alert listeners to an upcoming secret meeting, and" Swing Low Sweet Chariot, coming for to carry me home, "he said of the chance to save her from slavery. Other songs in search of freedomannounced 'People Get Ready, there's a train a comin', dark and thorny "path" or the story "of this vale of sorrow" brings "the fields of endless day." Old Testament stories of deliverance from slavery and the triumph of good over evil power, often provided the themes for the songs of slaves. The Walls of Jericho, Joshua was a surrogate for the chains of slavery. The message was subtle, but the words, musical inflection, intonation, tone, and told the story ofslave passion and determination to be free. "(12 and 13)

Ponds and waterfalls, white water

We can not live without. Water is the source of life that's why we so strongly attracted. Maybe because we no longer than a couple of days without water, we want to have nearby. Most people want to live near or in the form of a stream, river, lake or sea.

Unfortunately, there are bodies of water sufficient to go around for everyone, even those who can afford to live in their neighborhood. The price of the beach hotel reflects the fact thatare scarce and in high demand. Even for those fortunate to have this good, there is a significant trade-offs and a good number of drawbacks.

Who would not want a pond on their property, or a flower and vegetable garden, or a beautiful orchard of oranges, apples, plums, peaches, lemons and avocados have? Maybe a fence with a horse or two. So much to think about a garden with more ocean properties. You're lucky if you have enough land to walk between thehouses!

We see now why water gardens with waterfalls and ponds are so popular. If your house to fetch water, bring water to your home!

Why is it so quiet, but exhilarating at the beach? And 'the sights and sounds of ocean waves, the smell of salt water? You may be surprised to discover that the true feelings of peace, relaxation, stress and anxiety release has little to do with the sight or sound or smell of the sea.Numerous studies have shown that water movement in the extra negative ions in the air brings with it. Breathe in the air has a super positive effect on our bodies. The ocean provides the greatest amount of negative ions across the water in motion.

Therefore, the most favorable effects on our mood, while drawing the largest crowd. For the same reason, the falls make this a pleasant and relaxing. You've probably noticed how the air smells wonderful and feels greatbefore, during and after the rain - negative ions again.

For a fraction of the cost of water or more for life, almost every house to enjoy the benefits of a waterfall and a pond in their backyard. Ranging from an intimate atmosphere in one of magnitude, is what the budget can bear. Almost anyone can own a part of the best that nature has to offer. There are many different types, shapes and sizes of the falls when rocks. Consequently, aPond design of your choice, no two ever look the same and provide a natural uniqueness of every homeowner.

Falls in koi ponds as possible, a stream, pool, spa or simply spread through a grate-covered rock in a reservoir underground, where it is pumped and recirculated. This type of garden pond design is ideal for those with small children, because it eliminates the need for a pond dangerous. It 'also perfect for someone with a very small garden orwho want little or no maintenance.

The soil removed to dig a pond can be used to make a hill or berm to create a high waterfall. A waterfall can go through a series of retaining walls on his way to a pond on the ground floor. Passing through instead of over the top, give the impression that the waterfall is still there and the retaining wall was subsequently built on both sides.

Not just a garden pondoffers style and charm to your home, like I'm part of the Discovery Channel. The inhabitants of the pond provide an inexhaustible and ever-changing entertainment and education. From the antics of a pair of acrobatic tortoises male lobsters, claws and gnashing contradictory about the price of a beautiful woman, every day is a new chapter in the life of your pool. Are you the type who would say: "I do not ever want to fish themselves!" And then finally ends with a numberalso giving them all names? I've seen it happen over and over again, since pond owners in person to the residents in their garden pond water, as if they were family members or pets.

At night, a well-designed garden pond is a whole new adventure, especially if you have recessed lighting. The overflow, splashing against the light to create a great symphony of light and sound. Dancing light reflected off the surrounding rocks, plants, fence or househypnotic and beautiful. Most people only experience this atmosphere in expensive hotels and resorts. Now you can experience the same in your garden ..

If you are thinking of a fountain as an investment in your property, I can add a few words of caution. On the road, you can save the pain, grief and aggravation of fish dirty, dark, green, smelly water, sick or dead birds, pond or waterfall leaks, or high maintenance and energy costs.

1. Take yourof time.

2. Plan it out.

3. Research the topic thoroughly.

4. Finding an expert. Several years of experience are important.

5. Make sure the practitioner is licensed and bequests.

6. Accept only concrete and steel reinforcement construction. Never use a pond liner. Proponents of the pond liner will argue that a 40 or 50 year warranty on the ship. Not true! It 's true only if your pond liner in the box go away. It would only work in a perfect world - whereno gophers, chipmunks, squirrels, rats, tree roots, sharp stones, pebbles or other such objects. Once you have a hole, it is impossible to find. Even a pin-hole will be for 5 liters of water a day to pass.

7. Do not use submersible pumps. They are inefficient and expensive to manage and difficult to maintain. Debris collects in them, which requires frequent cleaning. The submarines can leak oil that can kill the inhabitants of the pond or, worse, create a short circuit and shock.

8. U.S.a biological filter to help remove nitrates and nitrites from the water. (I recommend a Flushable pressure filter, no flow of gravity).

9. Install a skimmer for removing leaves and debris from the surface.

10. Using two anti-vortex drain on the bottom of the pond to the suction line and fish and turtles to avoid vortices sucked into the drain.

11. Make sure the pond is a minimum of three feet deep water temperature in the summer months and regulardiscourage herons and raccoons eat out.

12. Building caves and ledges to fish and turtles to hide inside

13. Install an ultraviolet light to kill bacteria that cause odors and kill germs, spores of the fish and algal green water.

14. Do not use a mechanical auto-fill valve, use only an electronic system such as water filling. - Does not stick or malfunction, and thus prevent overflow pond and dead fish for chlorine poisoning.

15. Use enoughaquatic plants in the pond and waterfall. They provide oxygen and food for the fish and serve as natural filters, using nitrogen in water.

16. Use a high efficiency, out-of-pond pump that saves energy. In the management of 24 hours a day, a bio-filter of high quality (as Aqua Ultra Violet) is a continuous flow of oxygenated water, the anaerobic bacteria need to receive life. The bacteria are essential for degradation of hydrocarbonsnitrates and nitrites in water.

17. Make sure you have good drainage around the pond and waterfall, so the runoff from rainstorms and not contaminate the pond, sludge, manure, pesticides, etc.

18. Learn basic maintenance pond. (An ounce of prevention is worth a [lake] healed.)

When I say "everyone should have a waterfall," I am not only promoting the passion of my life. Given how much fun a water garden and a cascade of dollars to givecubic foot of dollars per cubic foot, hour by hour, is your best buy for many long years, healthy and happy to come.

From my experience with hundreds of the pond owners in San Diego, I discovered that the money spent on a well-designed garden pond and waterfall will surely take pleasure in the longer term and joy than anything you've ever bought in your life.

Life is not really live without water.

Easy Install Guide and recommended insulating foil to Achieve a U value of 0.16

The need for insulation foil

When properly installed, the insulation reduces the heat transfer through the building envelope. If ever there was a temperature difference, heat flows naturally from a warm area to a cooler area. To maintain comfort in winter, heat is lost must be replaced by heating and summer, the heat gained must be removed from the cooling system. Statistics show that 50% to 70% of the energy used in the average home in the United Kingdomfor heating and cooling. It makes sense to use the thermal insulation to reduce energy consumption while increasing comfort and saving money. Naturally, less consumption of fossil fuels and energy from the load lighten our eco-system must meet.

To summarize, insulation of the building `s conditioned room makes these important points:

It provides a much more comfortable, productive and enjoyable. In addition, the effects of moisturecondensation and displacement of air are minimized in well insulated buildings. This translates into lower maintenance costs and greater longitivity building.
Reduces the demand for energy, a lower electricity bill.
Support cost savings, environmental and energy. This is evidenced by several studies sponsored by the Energy Commission.

The heat moves through the wall cavities or between roofs and attic floors by radiation, convection and conductionradiation is the dominant mode of heat transfer. A reflective insulation is an effective barrier against radiant heat transfer v, because it reflects most of the infrared radiation strickeing the surface and very low heat conducted through it. Based on its impermeable surface, reflective insulation also reduces convective heat transfer. Mass insulation such as glass fiber, polyisocyanurate (PIR) rigid foam insulation board or mineral wool, especially slow heat flow, convection, and eliminatingreduce some radiation. reflective insulation makes for a drastic reduction in the flow of heat radiation and some convection. Spray foam and polyisocyanurate boards may provide greater resistance to conductive transfer until the gas cell is lost or diluted with air usually for a period of 15 years.

What is Radiant Barrier Reflective Insulation? Radiant barrier insulation is a reflective insulation system that offers a permanent energy costs. Radiant Barrierinsulation systems reflect radiant heat energy instead of trying to absorb. A pure aluminum radiant barrier reflective insulation is unaffected by humidity and will continue to play at a constant level, regardless of how wet. A radiant barrier insulation system is a sheet in front of an airspace and is installed in the building envelope.

Most people are familiar with traditional insulating materials such as fiberglass, cellulose, Polyiscyanuratepanels, polystyrene and rock wool. These products use their ability to absorb or resist (slow down) convective and conductive heat transfer to insulate (R-value). A third form, but rarely discussed dominant heat transfer exists: radiant heat transfer. What are the differences between the three forms of heat transfer? Conductive: Direct contact. If you touch a pot on the stove, this is conductive heat transfer. Convective: Steam, moisture. If the hand above a boiling pot, youheat in the form of steam. These convective heat transfer.

Radiant: Electromagnetic. Step outside on a sunny day and feel the sun on your face. Do you feel the radiant heat transfer. All objects above absolute zero (-459.7 degrees Celsius) emit infrared rays in a straight line in all directions.

A radiant barrier reflects radiant heat energy instead of trying to absorb. What does this mean in your home or business? During the winter, 50-75% of heat loss through theCeiling / roof system and 65-80% of heat loss through walls is radiant. In summer, 93% of heat gain is radiant. If depends on the value of R (resistance) alone to insulate against heat gain and loss, remember that traditional forms of insulation are virtually transparent to radiant energy and are affected by changes in humidity (moisture). A 1-1/2% change in moisture content of fiberglass insulation will result in a reduction of 36% in performance(Referred to as HVAC Manual 10.6; McGraw-Hill). A pure aluminum radiant barrier is unaffected by humidity and will continue to play at a constant level, regardless of how wet.

Concept of reflective insulation

Different types of insulation products to reduce the heat transferred by conduction, convection and radiation in varying degrees. As a result, each offering different thermal performance and its "R" values. The primary function of reflective insulationreduce the radiative heat transfer across open spaces, significant contribution to earnings in the loss of heat in summer and warm in winter. The low emissivity of metal surfaces FOI product blocks up to 97% of the radiation and therefore a significant part of heat transfer. There are many types of materials that reduce heat gain and heat loss. Some materials provide greater resistance than others, depending on the mode of heat transfer: convection or radiation. Most insulation materials work onprinciple of trapped air, gas is a good insulator. layers of insulation mass, such as fiberglass, foam and cellulose fiber glass, plastic and wood fiber, respectively, convection, and thus reduces the reduction of heat transfer. These materials also reduce heat transfer by conduction due to the presence of trapped air. (However, these products, as most construction materials have a very high radiant transfer.) Heat flow by radiation is brought to the public `s attention with highefficiency windows, which often use the term "low E" to advertise the higher performance evaluations. This value is measured in emitance or "and" values ranging from 0 to 1 (low value "E" indicates better performance). Most building materials, including fiberglass, foam and cellulose are "E" values greater than 0.70. Reflective insulation typically have "E" values of 0.03 (again, lower is better). Therefore, the reflective insulation is superior to other types of insulating materialsreduce the flow of heat by radiation. The term reflective insulation in some ways a misnomer, since aluminum or polyester, and works to reflect heat (reflectance of 0.97) or by radiant heat (emitance of 0.03), or emitance or reflectivity, the performance (heat transfer) is the same. As reflective insulation is installed in wall cavities, air-drop (like other insulation materials), and then reduce the heat flow and convection in response to both modes of heattransfer. In all cases, the reflective material next to a layer of air. Film, when placed between two pieces of plywood, for example, the heat in a fast pace.

The UK regulations require us to reach the insulation value of 0.16 AU has to offer, this can be achieved by using more of our films in co-junction with fiberglass or polyisocyanurate (PIR) board. To provides more detail would be advisable to consult your local buildingspecifying what they need, as we have seen many municipalities differ from the specifications. We would recommened the following specifications and have many excellent reports on the work undertaken throughout the UK and France. If this is an isolation of more and get a job creating a warm roof, would polyisocyanurate board of 70 mm or 100 mm of glass wool between the rafters of its use, cover the face of the trusses with a padded lining, it is recommended film Actis Super 10, Super 19, or Aluma FlexAluthermo Quatro. all these materials we stock for immediate shipment. If the movie you really want to get a value somewhere between U, 18 -, 20, which is quite acceptable on a renovation project. I f the tiles have been removed is foil insulation above the rafters and the counter mode was to be introduced and a membrane to cover these batons and tiles. The most important aspect of a piece of insulating airspace between 25 mmand any film coating material, will provide the heat transfer, with the advantage that it eliminates the reflection from the surface of the paper. Bubble Wrap is a fun low-cost way to share large insulate your house, very popular in the U.S. and is known as house wrap, low cost and very effective way to maintain calm in the house months Sumer, and heat retention in winter.

Hard water problems in the United Kingdom

Calcite, the main cause of the scale, the most common form of calcium carbonate and occurs naturally as a natural component of lime, limestone and marble. The more water that permeates through such rocks dissolves calcite When this water then flows through a water system the calcite precipitates out of water to form a hard shell very hard on surfaces. When is heated or evaporation takes place, the problem is compounded . Calcite forms ever more layers of rock-likedeposits until the end tubes, castings and equipment are completely blocked. The problem increases as water becomes warmer. Water with 145 ppm of calcite, flowing at 3.5 liters per minute, produces in a year of scale 4.8 kg to 60 ยบ C. At 80 ° C this rises dramatically to a massive 29.9 kilograms! Scale waste both energy and financial resources just one eighth of an inch of scale reduces heating efficiency by 25%. It 'also very expensive to remove and descale pipesBoilers alone costs British industry more than € 800M a year.

Hard water substantially increases energy consumption, the necessary equipment for cleaning and results in downtime early renewal of assets. Executives involved in running a business, the local government department or institution are under increasing pressure to reduce costs and become more efficient. But this must be conducted in compliance with environmental legislation increasing.

Watcher Scale is asingle, efficient, energy efficiency, cleaner or better than a magnet. It is designed to eliminate the advantages of hard water problems, while maintaining nature. This is achieved by changing the particle size cut down connections, supporting the ability of crystals to their shape, and changing the solubility of compounds Within the liquid. Scale Watcher takes the ionization process led to the final stage. The principles of magnetohydrodynamics(MHD) are applied by passing signal patented observer scale through a coil wrapped around the pipe to be treated. The signal consists of a frequency modulated (FM) waveform of the audio frequency (AF) bandwidth. This inaudible sonic frequency signal is a dynamic field around and through the coil, pipe and water, and modifies the crystal nuclei of calcium carbonate. The nuclei in which the crystals start growing are minute in size and loading surfaces in their natural statein water. In their passage through the area, which of course charged nuclei encounter great forces as the field interacts with them. The field is on the surface of nuclei and alter the nature of electrical charges and this ionisation effect thus changing the model of crystal growth in general and in specific areas.

The principle of magnetic water treatment is not new. The first patent was granted in 1900. Scale Watcher takes this knowledgein the 21st century. The electronic device treats the water by inducing electric and magnetic fields with frequency changing. This forces the dissolved minerals like calcium and magnesium ions in the water crystallize i) to regular (hard scales on the walls of the pipes, bathroom or heating of dishwasher and washing machine. This action stops any further up the scale difficult to construct preventing the establishment of mineral ions dissolved insurface.

Advances in microelectronics have allowed the system to produce observer scale
is so compact that can be installed in tight spaces or inexcessable normal. And 'ideal
for commercial applications such as laundries, hotels, garages, dentists, correctional
centers, restaurants and bakeries. Easily installed and no plumbing, chemicals or maintenance. Scale Watcher advantages: a longer life for capital equipment, lower bills, short-payback period, reduced mechanical damage and environmental friendly and free of danger.

The ability of water to dissolve the minerals will also be increased and this is why the levels of scale are hard eased slowly into the water and disappears into the sewers.

Global Warming - Impact on coastal communities

Global warming is very controversial. There are several studies and reports are generated on both sides of the argument to sustain. One argument is that global warming is not a huge problem worldwide, is claimed to be. While the other argument is clear evidence that global warming is occurring and is a big problem. In view of reports on global warming to realize that it is important to determine which theory of global warming is a reality. Global warming is theaverage temperature increase, both in surface air and oceans. Another part of global warming is regarded as the greenhouse effect.

Global warming shows that temperature increase leads to a lower sphere. The greenhouse effect supports the idea that the ozone layer is affected by increased carbon dioxide and methane. These are generalizations on both theories in order to simplify and answer questions. The temperature increase affectscoastal communities. It 'important to understand how coastal communities and commercial and residential property values in low areas will be affected, when, how and prevention methods.

The Environmental Protection Agency, Consad Research Corporation NRCM and IPCC are just some of the environmental research firm to study global warming. In a recent study by the IPCC predict that global warming will have a significant impact on coastal communities werefound. Global warming is melting the ice surface. Places like Antarctica, Greenland, Alaska, the Alps, Andes, Rockies witnessing a rise of their glaciers retreating. The glaciers are retreating all over the world about a foot a mile a year. The melting water flows into our water systems are increasingly aware of the sea. The IPCC has found that sea levels rose 4-5 inches since 1900. They also predict that the sea level will rise toleast 2.5 meters by 2100.

The first part of global warming and climate change. With climate change will face a temperature increase of about 1 degree Celsius to 5.5 degrees Celsius by 2100. Other effects of climate change include the different weather. Hurricanes, blizzards and rain increased in some areas of the world. Whenever an increase in rainfall or snowfall we get more water. If it is trueevaporation, which will take care of these plants and loads of rain water to get additional help, we will still see a rise in water level. The other side of this is creating more hot dry areas. Places like the desert dries higher temperatures. It 'also true in some areas, coral reefs that are visible on the surface due to evaporation.

There have been various plans proposed to prevent a rise in temperature and water level. The SupremeCourt of California has proposed stricter rules on car emissions. CO2 emissions from cars are only part of the problem of creating the greenhouse effect. The combustion of fossil fuels and land use are creating changes in levels of carbon dioxide. Studies have shown that carbon dioxide has increased by 31%. The felling of rain forests are more carbon dioxide in the Earth due to lack of facilities to enjoy the available carbon dioxide.

'Scombustion of fossil fuels, emissions of cars, and a lack of plant life in some areas as carbon dioxide continues to rise. To avoid this increase, we try to make cars more environmentally imposing tougher standards on cars today, replanting forests, and changing the natural gas to burn fossil fuels to avoid. The question will suffice, it is difficult to answer. While we produce carbon dioxide reduction, once you begin a chain of events is difficultif you can stop.

As individuals we can stop driving our cars for the smallest things. In other words, we can be more economical in the use of our resources. We can use less energy, or energy efficiency to create at least in our personal lives, we are able to recycle goods. use of natural products is another idea to increase the production of carbon dioxide elimination.

Coastal communities will be affected in the lower realms. Caribbean, North CarolinaOuter Banks, Japan and other Asian countries will be affected. The best protection of coastal communities, will stop the rise in sea level. In other cases, dams and retaining walls can be built so the water reached the houses, shops and our lives. Dredging of the sea level and land mass reduction will be made in each country will be affected. The last option is in motion. People have fled their homesto save their lives and the growing storm.

Reduce emissions of carbon dioxide, making people's awareness on global warming, and monitoring of earth changes will help coastal communities to save. Part of the influence on land values and investments in coastal communities. Although land prices are not over for the moment there is every possibility that in fifty years there will be a decrease in land value resulting from an increase in insurance rates.Insurance companies are not going to homes to ensure a reasonable price, if the sea level rises to a higher risk, so people do not want to buy land in a danger zone.

No heaviness in the stomach with Tri-Creatine Malate

Tri-creatine malate is on a pedestal above before creatine supplementation. The reason is because it is much more soluble than its close relatives. Part of the reason they are difficult to adjust, because creatine is insoluble in water. Therefore, creatine supplements are difficult to be captured and transported to the muscles for available energy. The element that distinguishes it from the rest of the pack is that the molecular bonds and malic acidCreatine to fill in the final formulation.

Malic acid on its own responsibility for improving the availability of energy for muscles. Creatine is essential for muscles to grow and prosper on the strength training. These two add up to a molecular ratio linked not only to offer the benefits of creatine, but also has a large delivery system. This system allows a bodybuilder to enjoy more stable and competentbodybuilding supplement. aims to increase strength and muscle mass are more consistent met using Tri-creatine malate traditional forms of creatine supplementation.

The molecular structure is formed between malic acid and creatine is soft bound and effectively degraded in the body. This is taken orally and works its way into the stomach. And 'here acids in the stomach begins to break down the structure. Creatine is published inwalls of the stomach and absorbed by cells in order to reach the bloodstream faster. The rate of absorption is the most interesting aspect of this supplement. rapid absorption means that these essential nutrients are taken, if they need much faster than a slow absorption rate. The muscles used for strength training and muscle building progress much more efficient use of tri-creatine malate many other forms of creatine supplements.

Many creatinesupplements provide a common side effect of water retention. This is usually one of the biggest complaints among users. such supplements are taken, the cells in water to attract and keep the swelling is to provide and watch your muscles. It 's good to know that creatine monohydrate is the largest water storage to supplement, not because a water molecule in the structure of this supplement. That is what this is significantly different and the reason is probably anotherRecommended product. Tri-creatine malate contains a water molecule in the structural composition and provides hydration of the muscles that literally has no equal. Hydration occurs within the muscle, leaving the muscles instead of swelling up solid by-product water.

It is not just muscle swelling and fluid retention, which has complained. swelling of the stomach is a common side effect of other forms of creatine. Tri-creatine malate removesopportunities for the bloating even with the abolition of the processing occurs in the stomach. Provides hydration in which the stomach muscles completely. The effect of mass that occurs during use occurs in the muscles, such as hydration process occurs, thereby avoiding the stomach full blown effect.

Benefits and employee involvement

Ask any counselor will tell you that the benefits and employee benefits are an important factor in employee engagement. Well, I'm not wrong, but are not exactly right.

Managers see the benefits as an important component to attract and retain employees. While this is true, the benefits actually very little impact on day to day involvement or commitment that employees have with the organization. Why the disconnect?

When it comes to recruitment and> Conservation of professionals, you probably already have their advantages and probably have their next job. The benefits are not a motivating factor. I'm just a part of their value proposition for the company with the compensation and benefits. Now, when it comes to hiring workers who do not have the benefits, which give an offering that includes a good benefits package on offer will make them jump.

Yes, the benefits certainly have a certain amount of attraction, butthey have a really motivational value? Ask the same benefits as consultants have worked so hard last week because of their health insurance and they laugh and say no. Unless you had an appointment with the doctor or receive an insurance EOB can not even think about their health insurance or any of its other benefits. Yes, as the driver of a commitment? It is not. While a necessary condition in many cases it is the reason why people work hard and remain committed to theirorganizations.

Now, do not remove the benefits of workers' and expect to continue to work quietly, they will not. human resource managers should continue to provide benefits for employees and managers basic to motivate their employees. The benefits are not a cure all. HR managers have more to work with line managers to identify and develop strategies to develop and retain the best talent.

How can I get a cheap Goldfish pond in one or two weekends of construction

How do I build a good Goldfish Pond

Building a small goldfish pond in your garden can be a fun weekend project and children will enjoy this summer to be. Depending on the climate where you live, the pond will have slightly different requirements for areas with temperatures below freezing. However, it is possible with a little 'but trash hunting, pond building for only a few dollars. In cold winter areas, it is important that a way to drain the pond for winter cleaning. Escapecommunication lines further down in this article.

First, choose the best area of your garden pond. You do not want it in full sun or shade throughout the day. A mixture of the two would be really nice. It will help your plants flourish and keep the algae down as well. I have a pond in partial shade or dappled all day and does very well and is very clean. If the pond is a natural way and are sometimes filled with a tube that is about the best scenario, you canobtain. I have a small pond that is filled by a very small underground spring that slips into the pool all the time, but also the pipe that comes out in a wet area must not fill the tank is empty. The pond measures eight meters long and five meters wide and 2 meters deep. I still thirty goldfish in this pond and they do very well. Besides eating insects and mosquitoes prefer to visit the children every day and some bit of food for them.

I selected my area pondshade in my garden next to a large number of maple trees if I wanted to sit in the shade on hot summer days and enjoy the fish and the sound of water, without the full sun I also increased the number of flower beds around the pond at different levels of flat field stones available on my property. There are many shade tolerant plants like hostas, hosta and variegated Dead Nettle spread with each passing year and with the various shades of green and whiteon nettle leaves and purple flowers, the gardens are more than enough visual interest.

Once you've decided how big you want the pond is really two choices of such pool to choose from. Pre-made pond in PVC pipes are available in different shapes and sizes today. Many ships were built at the factory and the shelf openings light if you want to add lighting to your pond. They vary in size from half a barrel in large ponds that require large pumps and filtration systems.Small ponds can be dug by hand, requires some heavy equipment like an excavator, perhaps for many the size of the pond floor and heavy equipment to move will definitely increase the price of the course.

Another way to build a pond is to use rubber tires. Your items will say not to use because there are chemicals, etc., etc. I washed my first use with a good soap solution and rinsed well to remove all soap residue. Themembrane in rolls of twelve feet wide, and every time I see a school get a new roof, you can easily bet that there are large pieces of rubber into containers. Almost all commercial buildings now use the rubber membrane roof available with a little effort to dive garbage. Think of the pond to two meters deep, four feet longer than six inches on each summit will be wasted for a total of five meters. This would give a fund pool of seven meters wide. Depending on the length ofpiece is obtained, at least two and a half feet on each end of the walls and upper edge. Forty feet long pieces would end seven feet on the ground. This is a seven foot by seven foot pond, two meters deep. This is a lot of water and may contain a large number of goldfish.

I decided to get up my pool last, instead of flush with the ground. Using flat field stone walls I built a pond to oblong two feet high. I have several bags of play sand and placed in the bottomraked smooth. Make sure that no stones or sticks in the bottom of the pool area. Any sharp edges could puncture a hole through the material line. Be a little 'cautious on the sides to avoid sharp rocks facing or projecting on the inside of the pond. The weight of water will force the liner on the walls take the form of the interior so keep them as smooth as possible. A friend of mine uses masonry blocks stack designed for a retaining wall on his partwalls, lined the inside of the membrane and finished cap blocks on top. You can sit on top of the wall and watch the gold fish that dart back and forth.

After installing my pocket, I used the stones to my apartment block large cap after folding the last six inches of the membrane on the upper surface of the walls. Pleated not be perfect, if you see beneath the stone, but make sure that the stones do not rock back and forth when in theirfinal positions. Want to hang the cap stones inside edge of the wall a few inches also so that the lining is not visible WHERE folds on top of the wall. A small portion of the vertical side are shown, depending on how high the remains' water from the pond, but the shadow of overhanging stone cap makes it almost invisible. black liner hides all the wrinkles left behind too. I have not tried white lining, though Iknow what to do. Goldfish ponds show very well in black.

Then add a few aquatic plants. There are hundreds to choose from and a trip to your local hardware store or garden Koi Garden will open a completely new experience for you. Often they are in pots that are placed directly into your pond. We recommend that week plant until water runs out the bottom of the pot before putting in the pond. This will help prevent dirt from flowing out and make your pond when dirtysink the pots in water. The weight of added water in the pot may also be required to actually remain in pots on the bottom. If the plant is too short to reach the surface, is due to the addition of a series of creative flat stones around the plants to work. The fish will enjoy added little nooks and corners to hide in times of sun, or only when playing.

If your pond is a closed system means that there is no supply of fresh water discharge channel, reflect a bit 'asGo to the empty pool cleaning once a year. It can be done with a sump pump to add an inch or two PVC pipes open to fresh air, if available. many clubs do not allow the discharge of sewage in pond water so be careful. If you have free air, the installation of a PVC pipe two inches below the pond and raise it in the pond with an elbow. Glue the elbow to the PVC pipe with cement well.
Wrap a plastic bag over the elbow to the sand or dirt to avoidin the tube, while you build your pond. Bury your pipe and start building your walls. Once the walls are complete and the sand bed is installed, place the cover in place. Use your lighter support, cut a small X directly above the elbow, but make sure it is less than two inches long on each edge. Now, push the membrane around the elbow to the bottom as possible so that the rubber elbow. Using a stainless steel band with all vehicles availableparts store, firmly clamp the rubber membrane at the elbow to create a seal. On the open side of the pipe to install a two-inch PVC gate. This valve can be opened to drain and clean your pond when necessary.

Fill your pond with clean water. I use a small aquarium pump aeration to provide supplemental oxygen for fish. The large surface of the pond should be more than sufficient to aerate the water, but the pump bubble will prevent mosquitoeseggs, which on the surface in motion and can also provide a pleasant sound your new goldfish pond. Sneak it through the membrane and the rocks, I have a total of $ 27 for materials for my pond. Goldfish in my area are 27 cents each so beautiful twenty fish a total of $ 5.40. Not bad work for a few days. Enjoy your new pond and garden project.

Ancient Greek Theatre Architecture

The ancient Greek theatre was shaped by the literary evolution of the plays. Threshing floors, where the rural Dionysiac troups first held their feasts, constituted the early pattern of the round orchestra (playing area) in subsequent theatres. In the centre of this orchestra was the thymeli, the altar of the god, demonstrating the origins of the theatre in ritual. In the initial dithyramic assemblies, devotees stood around the threshing floor. In the theatre, the spectators' seats filled the amphitheatric auditorium which was built into the natural slope of a hill and usually divided into two horizontal diazomata (sections) and many wedge-shaped kerkides (blocks of seats) the number of which changed according to the size of the orchestra. The tiers in the upper section were twice the size of those in the lower. The auditorium covered 2/3 of a full circle, making it necessary to build retaining walls to support the side sections. The seats were semicircular rows of steps. The first row had comfortable, throne-type seats with backs, places of honour. When women were permitted to attend a certain performance, then they sat in a separate section. The places in the upper diazomata were for foreigners. Slaves did not appear to have the right to attend performances.

The orchestra (playing area) was the soul of the theatre. All the other parts grew up around it, as its final circle was surrounded by the auditorium. The altar, which was right in the centre, had to be equidistant from all sections. The side doors beside the retaining walls of the auditorium were called the parodoi, through which the spectators entered the theatre. The appearance of actors through these entrances was significant for the plot of the play: the public was aware of the convention that when an actor entered from the right-hand door, he was coming from the city; the use of the opposite door meant that he was arriving from some distant place. The members of the chorus always stayed in the orchestra, even later when a platform and stage buildings were added to its open side. There was a strict mathematical relationship between stage, altar and auditorium, which was related to the effort to perfect the acoustics.

With the creation of the stage, steps were built leading up from the orchestra to the logeio (platform), where the actors recited their parts. At the back there was a large wooden facade, movable and painted, which depicted an outdoor backdrop. This facade was always the same according to the play: in tragedy an official building was shown, usually a palace or temple; in comedy smaller, rural buildings tended to be used; in satyric drama, the scenery required a cave entrance. As the performances were held during the day, no artificial lighting was necessary, although there were various sound effects used, such as metallic containers full of water to increase the volume of the speeches, and pebbles were shaken around in bronze jars to sound like thunder. The technicians who wielded these vessels would either stand behind the scenery or along the sides of the platform, in the side-wings. In the stage building behind the platform, there were areas where the actors changed their masks and costumes and where these props were kept after the performance.

The architecture of the theatre was perfected in the 4th century, the primary example being that of Epidaurus. But all around the Mediterranean, theatres of all sizes bring back echoes of ancient Greece.

In neighbouring Rome, performances of drama began in the middle of the 3rd century at the Hippodrome, on movable platforms. Stern Roman senators were not particularly fond of free-thinking Greek plays, and thus the building of permanent theatres was expressly forbidden, until Pompey visited Mytilene and was so impressed by its stone theatre that he built a similar one in Rome in 55 BC. But the all- powerful Senate forbade the building of seats, and for this reason the first spectators had to bring their own chairs. During the years that followed, given the influence of Hellenic education on Roman society, many theatres were built which differ in many ways from those of Greece.

In Roman theatres, the auditorium covered only half of a circle and the rows of permanent seats were initially intended only for senators. Later other rows of seats were added for minor notables, even though social differences were very strict. The upper sections filled with crowds. Above the last row of seats there was a covered portico around the entire semi-circle. The seats were raised well above the orchestra, since this area was frequently flooded with water for the presentation of mock naval battles, as Roman spectacles were gradually replacing classical Greek works of philosophical simplicity.

Another innovation was that in the place of the ancient Greek side entrances, boxes were built for the emperor on one side and the Vestal Virgins on the other. At the end of the performance, the curtain would fall between these boxes. But the stage, too, differed from the Greek shape, because Roman presentations needed more space to accommodate those taking part in the pantomimes and grandiose plays with large casts. In Rome, the wooden scenes of the Greek theatre became a three storey wall, with openings and niches for statues, the height of which was the same as the height of the portico above the last series of seats in the auditorium. This feature made it easier to install a movable covering and machinery to spray perfumed water to refresh the public on hot days.

The spectators enjoyed the performances free of charge, as part of the infallible "bread and circuses" measures for controlling the crowds. But in the harsh Roman society, where circuses were stronger than bread, the public preference always lay in the amphitheatres, in the oval arena where combats with wild beasts and doomed gladiators prevailed.

Ponds & Waterfalls- Water Living

We can't live without it. Water is the very source of life That is why we are so strongly attracted to it. Maybe because we cannot live more than a few days without water, we want to have it close by. Most people would like to live next to it, whether in the form of a stream, river, lake or ocean.

Unfortunately, there aren't enough bodies of water to go around for everybody, even for those who can afford living near them. The price of beach front property reflects the fact that it is scarce and in high demand. Even for those fortunate enough to own such property, there is a major trade-off and a good share of disadvantages.

Who wouldn't like to have a water garden on their property, or a flower and vegetable garden, or even a wonderful orchard with oranges, apples, plums, peaches, lemons and avocado? Maybe a corral with a horse or two. So much for thinking about a garden with most ocean front property. You're lucky if you have enough land to be able to walk between the houses!

We can now see why water gardens with waterfalls and ponds are becoming so popular. If you can't take your home to the water, just bring the water to your home!

Why is it so peaceful, yet still invigorating at the beach? Is it the sight or sound of the ocean waves, the smell of the salt water? You may be surprised to discover that the actual feelings of peace, relaxation, stress, and anxiety release has little to do with the sight or sounds or smell of the ocean. Extensive research has shown that moving water puts additional negative ions into the air. Breathing this supercharged air has an extremely positive effect on our body. The ocean creates the greatest quantity of negative ions of all moving water.

Therefore, it has the most beneficial effects on our moods while drawing the largest crowds. For the same reason, waterfalls create such pleasant and relaxing environments. You have probably noticed how wonderful the air smells and feels just prior to, during and after a rain storm - again negative ions.

For a fraction fo the cost of ocean or lake front living, almost every homeowner can reap the benefits of a waterfall and pond in their back yard. Ranging from an atmosphere of intimacy to one of grandeur, it's whatever the budget can endure. Virtually everyone can own a portion of the best that nature has to offer. There are as many different varieties, shapes and sizes of waterfalls as there are rocks. Consequently, with a pond design of your choice, no two ever look the same and they provide a natural individuality for each homeowner.

Waterfalls can cascade into koi ponds, a stream, swimming pool, spa or simply spill through a rock-covered grate into a subterranean catch basin, from where it gets pumped and recirculated. This type of backyard pond design is great for someone with small children, since it eliminates the need for a hazardous pond. It's also perfect for someone with a very small yard or for those looking for little or no maintenance.

The soil removed in excavating a pond can be utilized to create a mound or berm to provide elevation for a cascade. A waterfall can pass through terraced retaining walls on its way down to a pond at ground level. By passing through rather than over the top, it will give the impression that the waterfall always existed and the retaining wall was constructed later on either side.

A backyard pond not only provides allure and charm to your property, it is as though you own a part of the Discovery Channel. The pond's occupants provide a never-ending and forever changing source of entertainment and education. From the antics of a pair of acrobatic turtles to the male crayfish, claws clashing and gnashing over the prize of a fair lady, each day becomes a new chapter in the life of your pond. Are you the type that might say, "I don't ever want to own fish!" and then eventually end up with several, even giving them all names? I've seen this happen over and over again, because pond owners become personally attached to the inhabitants of their water garden pond as if they were family members or pets.

At night a well-designed backyard pond becomes a whole new adventure, especially if you have built-in lighting. The cascading, splashing water against the lights create an amazing symphony of light and sound. Dancing light reflected on the surrounding rocks, plants, fence or house becomes hypnotic and mesmerizing. Most people only experience this atmosphere at expensive hotels or resorts. Now you can own the same experience in your own back yard..

If you are considering a water feature as an investment in your property, may I add several words of caution. Down the road, these may save you the heartache, sorrow and aggravation of dirty, murky, green, smelly water, sick or dead fish, leaky pond or waterfall, or high maintenance and energy costs.

1. Take your time.

2. Plan it out.

3. Research the subject thoroughly.

4. Seek out an expert in the field. A few years of experience are important.

5. Make sure the expert is licensed and bonded.

6. Accept only concrete and steel rebar construction. Never use a pond liner. Proponents of pond liners will claim there is a 40 or 50 year warranty on the liner. Not true! It's only true if you leave the pond liner in the box. It would work only in a perfect world - where there were no gophers, squirrels, chipmunks, rats, tree roots, sharp rocks, pebbles or other such objects. Once you have a hole, it is impossible to find. Even a pin-hole will allow 5 gallons of water per day to pass.

7. Do not use submersible pumps. They are inefficient and expensive to operate and are difficult to maintain. Debris collects in them, requiring frequent cleaning. Submersibles can leak oil that may kill the pond inhabitants or, worse, short out and create a shock hazard.

8. Use a biological filter to help eliminate nitrates and nitrites from the water. (I recommend a pressurized back-flushable filter, not a gravity flow.)

9. Install a skimmer for removal of surface leaves and debris.

10. Use two anti-vortex drains on the bottom of the pond for suction line to prevent whirlpools and fish or turtles from being sucked into the drain.

11. Make sure your pond is a minimum of three feet deep to regulate water temperature in the summer months and to discourage herons and raccoons from dining out.

12. Build caves and ledges for turtles and fish to hide in.

13. Install an ultraviolet light to kill bacteria that cause smells and pathogens that kill fish and algae spores that create green water.

14. Do not use mechanical auto-fill valves; only use an electronic one like the AquaFill System. It does not stick or malfunction - thus preventing pond overflow and dead fish from chlorine poisoning.

15. Use plenty of water plants in the falls and pond. They provide extra oxygen and food for the fish and act as natural filters, utilizing the nitrate nitrogen in the water.

16. Use a high-efficiency, out-of-pond pump that conserves energy. By operating it 24 hours a day, a high-quality biofilter (such as one made by Aqua Ultra Violet) will receive a continuous flow of oxygenated water, which the anaerobic bacteria require in order to live. The bacteria are essential for breaking down hydrocarbons, nitrates and nitrites in the water.

17. Make sure you have proper drainage around the pond and waterfall so run-off from the rain storms does not enter the pond and contaminate it with silt, fertilizer, pesticides, etc.

18. Learn basic pond maintenance. (An ounce of prevention is worth a [pond] cure.)

When I say "everyone should have a waterfall," I'm not simply promoting my life's passion. Considering how much enjoyment a water garden and waterfall can give you, dollar for dollar, cubic foot for cubic foot, hour for hour, it is your best buy for many long, healthy and happy years to come.

From my experience with hundreds of pond owners in San Diego, I have discovered that the money spent on a well designed garden pond and waterfall will surely bring you more long term pleasure and joy than anything you ever purchased in your life.

Living is not truly living without water.

Waterproofing Basement Walls

Waterproofing a basement is important to keep your home dry and mold free especially if you plan on remodeling your basement. There are many different basement waterproofing systems and methods. The requirements on every home vary depending on if you have a wet or dry basement. The moisture issues most commonly found in older homes are on the inside of the foundation walls or floor. Most new construction uses some type of exterior foundation waterproofing that usually keeps the basements fairly dry. If your building a new home I would definitely recommend some type of foundation wall moisture barrier. Before you begin with you interior fix make sure you check that your gutters & downspouts are clear all the way out to the curb.

If your downspouts stop at the foundation you'll need to get an extension to divert the water away from the foundation. Make sure the grade around the foundation slopes away from the house. Check for more tips at The National Association of Waterproofing. When fixing interior walls one cheap and easy solution is a paint product called DRYLOCK made by UGL. You can just use a brush and heavy nap roller to apply the product to the masonry walls. They have many different products available depending on your situation.

You can see if this product is right for you by taping a 12inx12in piece of aluminum foil to the suspected wall. leave it for a few days. When you come back if there is moisture on the room side you have a condensation problem. If its wet on the inside that was facing the wall you have a seepage problem. Remember both problems can occur at the same time. If you have a condensation problem a dehumidifier should help. If your basement is fairly dry and you just have a few damp spots or walls you might get by with the latex Drylock masonry waterproofer.

You can buy it by the quart or the gallon. This formula is for waterproofing all interior, exterior, above or below grade masonry walls, cinder and concrete blocks, stucco, brick, retaining walls, basements, concrete swimming pools and foundations. No pre-mixing or pre-wetting necessary. You can even tint it to colors if you'd like. If your basement walls are moist or leaky you might want to consider the Drylock Extreme Masonry Paint. This contains synthetic rubber and Portland cement which helps give the walls a much tougher barrier. It is a little more expensive and the fumes are much more intense.

You'll want to wear a respirator when using this stuff. Both products can be applied to damp surfaces. First you want to make sure the walls are clean from rust, dirt, grease, or oil. Then make sure there are no Efflorescence, a (white, powdery, crystal-like deposit on the masonry surface). This must be removed with a wire brush and sometimes an acid wash. You will also need to patch any cracks or holes in the wall joints or floor. For this you can use DRYLOK® FAST PLUG a fast setting hydraulic cement. Make sure you dampen the area before applying the fast plug for a stronger patch. After thats all done your ready to paint. The coverage of the Drylock is about 50-75 sq ft per gallon. Ex. An eight foot tall wall that is 10 ft long is 80sq ft and would likely use more than one gallon.

How to Build a Brick Wall - A Great Skill to Acquire

To build a brick wall is not difficult, but, to build it well is rather more challenging, and really requires practice. If you are just building the odd brick wall and it is going to be covered by render or plaster then you needn't worry so much about the gaps between the bricks being equal and being neatly filled.

You will still however, need to make sure you have solid and level foundations to build on. For a wall over two metres high you may need local council consent. Planning permission is rarely refused for internal walls, but can be more difficult to obtain for an extension unless careful consideration is given to how it will look and how it might affect neighbouring properties

A single brick wall is the simplest to build, and is done with a "stretcher bond" system, meaning that each course of bricks is offset to the one below by half a brick. This makes it easy for corners but the ends of a wall need to include half bricks.

You will need cement, sand, lime for the mortar (or plasticizer if working in cold weather to keep the mortar free-flowing), the bricks, a bucket and a trowel

You need to mix your mortar, remembering it's only good for about two hours, and then you can begin to lay your first course. You will need a straight edge to work to, so place a brick at each end and next to each brick insert a pin or stake into the ground. A line stretched from one to the other stake gives you a straight edge.

Next you lay mortar along the footing where your bricks will go. Try to gauge the thickness of mortar so that it will compress down to about 10 mm once a brick is laid. Put your first brick into place and push down to the right level. Then you "butter" your second brick by applying mortar to its vertical face, and press that up against the first while also pushing it down into the footings.

Use the end of your trowel to scrape off the excess mortar from the front and top of the join. It is important to remove excess mortar from the surface of the bricks to avoid discolouration and get the best and neatest appearance.

You carry on in this manner, laying the bricks and tapping to get them level. You should check every three or four bricks with a spirit level. As the wall builds in height you also need to check that it is vertical all along its length, and not leaning.

Take your time, and try to keep the joints looking neat, and you can build a wall to be proud of, even if it's only for the barbecue.

Great Ideas on What You Can Do to Change Your Hilly Backyard Into a Usable Outdoor Living Space

Most homeowners like to make the most of their property whether it is inside or out. A lot of people are realizing how nice it is to enjoy the outside of your home too whether it is sitting on a front porch of an older home or sunbathing by a pool in the backyard. This article will specifically tackle the problem that some people have and that is what to do with a backyard that is on a hill and how to make the most of that space using Simi Valley landscapers and Simi Valley landscaping. A lot of people that have a home with a hillside in the back often just leave it in that state and never get to use that wonderful outside space.

There is no reason why you can't do a lot of different things with a sloped yard with the wonderful engineering of qualified landscapers that are out there today. The first step, obviously would be to research various landscaping companies that have done several projects on properties that are similar to yours and take a close look at their work. You would also follow up on references from some of their clients since there can be some problems with hilly ground such as sliding issues.

Once you have found a great company to work with they will give you all of the different options that may be possible with your property. A lot of people do not realize that they can put a pool in a backyard that is not completely flat. With a great deal of dirt and a significant amount of retaining walls, a pool can be put into a hillside property and be a great way to use that yard. This has been shown to be done frequently in California where a lot of the lots are small and are up on a hill or cliff.

Another great landscape design to be considered for a hilly yard could be a tiered patio or garden system. Using a variety of different tiers can be used for beautiful flower garden beds or even a small playground for your kids or a beautiful patio and eating area. Breaking up the hill into various sections using tiers can be a wonderful way to enjoy your backyard and not have to level off the entire part of it but rather work with the existing hill. If you have pets this would be a great way to designate a special area for them so they do not ruin the rest of the property and can have their own area as their own to play in or to relief themselves.

With the wonderful engineering that can be done using natural as well as engineered products, making tiers or retaining walls is now easier and better than ever before. You no longer have to buy a piece of property that is totally flat to have a pool, sport court or a beautiful patio complete with an outdoor kitchen.

Segmental Retaining Wall Blocks - Are They The Future?

Only through a descriptive analysis of each type of wall can we hope to assess the differences of each.

Flagstone Retaining Walls: Flagstone has been around since the dawn of time and used for everything. They were found to be plentiful in the mountain regions and carried all over because they were so flat and easy to stack. Very easily stacked by homeowners to keep any garden free from livestock, they became permanent parts of any farm or ranch near enough to use them.

Mining operations found the larger stones and soon, especially in Europe and Great Britain, they were being used to construct buildings and even castles. Made of sandstone, a sedimentary stone, they were easily shaped however necessary. Where the larger stones were shaped and used for retaining walls, the structures could be quite sturdy and virtually indestructible.

Segmental Retaining Walls: These retaining wall systems are created by using solid, high density concrete blocks in a variety of manners. Whether using interlocking pins, bars, or lips formed on the back edge of the block, they are all designed to withstand the stresses required of a retaining wall. This is the only thing they were designed to do.

Demanding specifications have been formulated by each manufacturer through rigorous testing to produce systems that will not fail if installed properly. Such conditions as soil density, wall height, load types, back fill, drainage, etc are all calculated when designing the best application for each location. This is the only true case of engineering as relates to residential retaining walls.

Concrete Block Retaining Walls: Concrete blocks have been used by housing contractors to build retaining walls since they first came out. It was easy to hire the same subcontractor who they used for the walls of the house to create the retaining wall. Some contractors take it one step farther by pouring the block cavities full of concrete. This creates a far stronger wall especially when they put re-bar into the block as well. Doing more than building the wall and pushing dirt in behind it is rare.

The walls created in this manner are good to look at and can be bricked, stuccoed or painted to match the house as needed. Unfortunately, the finished product normally has no drainage behind it nor packed back-fill. Many of them fail within the first five years while most of the ones that don't fall down form cracks that are non-repairable to say nothing of ugly.

Field Stone Retaining Walls: Field stones were first used for retaining walls for much the same reason as any other stone. They were plentiful and free. Farmers and ranchers needed to move them up out of the fields so they became natural walls. Ireland has hundreds of miles of these type walls to contain the livestock. They simply unstack and re-stack sections to create openings when needed.

Much has been done with field stone in America because they create a very natural structure even though the structural integrity cannot be measured. No testing has ever been done to provide installers with any type of construction guidelines.

Railroad Tie Retaining Walls: Because of their regular shape, low cost, and easy accessibility, they have been used by almost every installer at one time or another. They have been referred to as the poor mans retaining wall. Some very elaborate walls have been constructed using this material, some even in the commercial construction arena to support buildings.

As with all wood that contacts the ground, it rots from the ground contact side outward. The evidence of the rot is not even visible until the timbers give way. Another issue is the center of any large timber because the treatment is not absorbed that far inside.

If there was ever a case of availability dictating use, railroad ties are the perfect example. The availability was only made possible because they were used by the railroad and removed when damaged or old. They flooded the market as a cheap material and the best use was for outdoor construction. Retaining wall construction was a natural fit. Only recently has the EPA considered the creosote treatment as dangerous for the environment.

Landscape Timber Retaining Walls: These are the round edged timbers sold by many of the large landscape and hardware companies for use in homeowner landscaping. The level of treatment used in these timbers is far below what is necessary for ground contact. But they are cheap and the homeowner is almost always swayed by cost over all other considerations.

Landscape timbers can make a very pretty wall, are very easy to assemble, and will last for up to five years if they are not under any kind of pressure, such as the earth behind them trying to move. Make sure you put in plenty of drainage.

If a retaining wall is in your future, consider the options carefully accounting for durability, dependability, and overall effectiveness. Much has been done in the last 5 years to create an old style look to the new style retaining wall materials. You might be surprised at what you find.

Selecting a Pleasing Bathroom Vanity Furniture

Your bathroom is one of the important places in your home where you can relax and rejuvenate after long hours of work and busy lifestyle. To give a pleasing and relaxing atmosphere, you should select bathroom vanity furniture which will add more elegance in your restroom.

Bathroom vanity furniture will transform your bathroom into something very attractive each time you use it. There are various designs you can choose from online to match your taste and requirements. The design of the furniture should not be too artistic in style, unless you want a truly unique one. A simple bathroom vanity can make all the difference in the looks of your restroom.

Color of the furniture should match the wall paint, curtains, and other decorations you may have inside the room. This does not mean that all colors should be exactly the same. Few colors are not very appealing to the eye, especially if it is all dark-colored.

You can search online catalogues for bathrooms to have more options in the styles and designs that are going to fit your needs. Look for products made of high quality materials and excellent finishing. This will not only make your restroom furniture look good but can also last for longer years retaining its beauty.

Also, the product should of course be affordable but not too cheap. Lowest price bathroom vanity furniture may not always provide good quality. Like what most people said that you get what you pay for.

It is much better to prioritize first the durability and strength of the furniture before the style. This is to ensure that you can get a long lasting bathroom fixture with lesser price. As what I have stated earlier, choose a design with simplicity in mind but not too simple.

I hope you got few important things to consider when purchasing your bathroom vanity furniture. Transforming your bathroom into something more appealing will create peace of mind and good relaxation everyday.

Expecting A Flood - 10 Useful Tips On Preparing For A Flood

Did you know that floods are the most common natural disaster in America? The Red Cross reports that, every year, floods take more than 100 lives and cause more than $4 billion in damages.

Here are some tips everyone should know to prepare for that inevitable flood:

* Anticipate the Expected

You should know what impacts a flood could have on your home and property. The flow of water is easy to predict, and local terrain is a known factor. Try to estimate the damages if a tree was ripped from the ground and into your house or if debris should slide down the hill into your yard.

* Ask Questions

Local planning agencies have very good information about the location of flood plains and water flows throughout the community. Be sure to find out where your property is located relative to flood areas, and find out if there is a history of flooding where you live.

* Educate Yourself

Know the signs of imminent flooding and learn what type of alerts your community uses to warn citizens of impending floods.

* Get with the Plan

It's critical that you know what your community plans do to in case evacuation becomes necessary. Know how they will provide transportation and local emergency travel routes. Find out if there is a step-by-step plan you can follow to best cooperate with the community's effort.

* Insure your Property

Especially for people in flood-prone areas, normal home insurance will probably not cover flooding. But finding and having individual private flood insurance has many benefits:

- it covers specific losses
- it's usually relatively inexpensive
- it covers you even when your area is not declared a formal "disaster area"
- you may not have to repay property or reconstruction loans
- you know you will be paid because the National Flood Insurance Program backs all approved policies
- you may be able to get a partial payment very quickly after the event to begin repairs

* Protect Important Documents

Make sure your passports, birth certificates, insurance policies, deeds, stock certificates, and other important documents are in a secure, waterproof location and container. Also be sure it's in a place where you can get to it easily.

* Consider a Home Reconfiguration

If your fireplace, furnace, electric panel, or water heater is now in your basement or ground floor, consider having them moved to your attic. While this may be costly, it will save you in the long run, especially if you live in flood-prone area.

You should also find out about local building codes and requirements to find out whether you can build retaining walls and barriers to protect your home.

* Plug It Up

Check trap sewers in your house with check valves to be sure flood water can't leak into your house from the community's sewer system. During flood emergencies, you may want to use stoppers or corks to plug your tubs and sinks as well.

* Protect by Waterproofing

Be sure the walls of your basement and lower floors are watertight. Use waterproof compounds to seal cracks so that water can't get in.

* Keep Necessities at Hand

Be sure you have a flood kit by assuring there are a battery-operated radio and other supplies readily available. Set aside some fresh drinking water, canned goods, extra clothing, and blankets in a dry area that won't be flooded. Most important, keep a first aid kit updated and well-supplied.

Careful preparation is the best way to prevent damage and injury from floods. Especially if you live in at low altitudes or in coastal areas, you are likely to have this experience at least once in your life. You'll be much happier if you know what to do and take the proper precautions before a flood washes through your life.

Using a Metal Detector to Find Your Lost Ring - Tips For The Amature On How To Use A Metal Detector

Lost a ring? Engagement, Wedding, Anniversary or Sentimental ring? Thinking about trying to use a metal detector to find it?

I lost my wedding ring and rented a metal detector to help me find it. Several months later, after hearing the story of my success finding the ring, my uncle asked me to come over and look for his wedding ring. It had been lost 10 or so years ago during the construction of a small retaining wall under a deck at his home.

After my initial 4 day ordeal looking for my own ring I was a little apprehensive about the prospect of finding his ring, but at least it wasn't under water like mine had been, plus he had a pretty good idea of where it should be. So, he rented a metal detector, coincidentally the same one I had used to find mine, and on a nice Sunday morning I went over to start digging. We broke out the shovels, a wheel barrel, a bucket and coffee.

He showed me the area, about 20 square feet, and we considered that it could be at a depth of up to a foot or two near the front. I took off my own ring and placed it on the ground to get a feel for what a good strong hit should sound like on the metal detectors speaker and then I started working the area.

In less than 5 minutes I got a good strong hit and sure enough, there was his ring! We spent more time pulling out the tools than we actually spent looking for the ring. After 10 years in the dirt his ring was back on his finger and I was now 2 for 2 finding lost wedding rings.

So, with all that in mind, here are my beginner's tips for finding a lost ring with a metal detector.

TOOLS -

One good metal detector. Nothing super-fancy, but it should have the discriminator settings to set for rings and not coins. Set for rings, they are much more sensitive to heavier metals like gold.

A good plastic trowel (small shovel). Plastic ones are better for this job since they won't interfere with the metal detector.

A decent plastic bucket, without a metal handle. Again, no metal to interfere with the detector.

A gold ring and a few coins. - I know this may sound silly, but when you read my techniques section it will make more sense.

Shoes WITHOUT steel toes or steel shanks. If you wear steel toed work shoes or boots, they will interfere with the metal detector.

TECHNIQUES -

First, make sure that you can search the area. If it is a park you are usually allowed to do it if you don't damage the grass. That means that just like on the golf course, you need to put your divots (bits of grass you pull up) back. If the location is on private property, make sure that you have the owner's permission to enter and search.

If this is your first time using a metal detector, ask for some assistance from the shop where you rent or buy it and/or read the manual. If you are looking for a ring, make sure that you set the 'discriminator' to the 'ring' setting. This will help you avoid getting lots of false signals from small bits of metal like old gum wrappers.

Find a nice little practice area where you can move the detector around without getting a bunch of beeps. This may mean clearing some stuff away, or you may get lucky and find a clear spot right away. Just give yourself a few square feet that you can pass the detector over without finding anything.

Train your ear. Take a gold ring and place it on the ground, then place a penny on the ground about 3 feet away from the ring. Pass the detector over both of them and listen to the difference in the beep. If the detector is properly set, you should hear a much stronger beep from the ring than you do from the penny. Do this for awhile. You really want to get a good feeling for the difference between a solid 'hit' and just a small beep.

Once you start actually searching, work in an orderly pattern. Pick out the area you want to search and work in a methodical way. There are many different patterns you could use. One method that seemed to work for me was to do the border first, all the way around and then work left to right, front to back. However, the exact pattern isn't as important as the fact that you use one. You need to know that when you've covered an area you have really covered it.

If you hit a beep and you feel it's worth digging, move the detector around side to side and front to back until you have a pretty good idea exactly where the target is. Digital detectors (which I haven't used) will have a little indicator screen that will help you narrow in on it. Once you've decided to dig, use your plastic trowel and bring up a small area. Put the dirt and grass into your bucket and then check the area again. This will help make sure that you got the item. Don't start sifting through the bucket until you're sure you have gotten the target out of the ground.

After you are sure that the target is out of the ground, use the detector on the bucket and see if the target shows up in there. If it does, then you know you got it and something is in there. Search the bucket until you find it and the bucket reads clean (no beeps) from the detector. If it wasn't what you were looking for, get it out of the way. Don't just throw that little piece of foil or penny back into your search area (I learned this the hard way when I spent 5 minutes to find the target I had just spent 5 minutes to find and then tossed in my search area).

After you have dealt with each individual target, you must put the dirt and sod back! Don't leave the park or yard looking like a mine field! It is up to you not to destroy or deface property.

Keep working the search area until you have covered the entire area. From time to time, set your test ring and a penny on the ground and re-tune your ear to hear the difference.

GOOD LUCK!!!

If you aren't successful, can't find a rental shop, or just don't want to deal with it, there are people who do this as a side job / hobby. Expect to pay $50 to $100 to have someone search for a couple of hours. They are skilled at this and may have a better chance of finding the object that a novice.

Retaining Walls Can Add Beauty to Your Landscape Design

Retaining walls aren't just used for soil erosion anymore. With the vast variety of materials available for retaining walls, and the many configurations you can use for your retaining wall design, there is plenty of room for creativity and the opportunity to further beautify your landscaping.

Garden retaining walls can stabilize a slope and prevent soil erosion, but they can also group plants and garden areas, and create paths.

There are many different types of retaining walls, such as the conventional stacked masonry blocks, bricks or natural stone. Glass/concrete elements are available in many textures and colors and can resemble anything from slate to wood.

Every landscape has different types of soil and sloping, and your choice of material should result in the perfect retaining wall system, adding beauty and stability to your landscape design.

Different Types of Retaining Wall Materials:

Mortarless/Dry Stacked Concrete Block

Mortarless and dry stacked concrete have gained popularity because they are manufactured to fit together perfectly with no grout required. The blocks are also self aligning and the fit is perfectly straight and level. Another advantage to mortarless and dry stacked concrete block is it can be disassembled and moved at a later date if you want to make changes to your landscape in the future.

Poured concrete walls

Poured concrete retaining walls are useful in areas where the soil is unstable or heavy, and work well in steeper slopes. Poured concrete walls can also be molded, colored and polished to mimic virtually any designer material you wish.

Architectural Concrete Façade Elements

Architectural concrete façade elements can be made to resemble brick veneer, polished stone, and wood. You can add other items to your façade such as cornices, column bases, and any kind of ornament or statuary. The beautiful result of installation of concrete facades can be truly amazing.

Wooden retaining walls

Wood used as a retaining wall will give your landscape a natural look. The drawback to using wood is it is affected by moisture, insects, and rot, so cannot stand the test of time like other retaining wall materials.

What Are Geo-Textiles?

Geo-Textiles can be defined as "a fabric or synthetic material placed between the soil and a pipe, gabion or retaining wall; to enhance water movement and retard soil movement and act as a blanket to add reinforcement and separation." These are generally made up of woven, nonwovens and knitted type of fabrics. Geo-Textiles also known as Industrial Textiles, High Performance Textiles, Engineered Textiles, Technical Textiles and Industrial Fabrics are specially designed and engineered structures that are generally used in processes /services of non textile industries. They are materials and products manufactured primarily for their technical and performance properties rather than for aesthetic and decorative characteristics.

These are generally made up of woven, non-wovens and knitted type of fabrics. Geo-Textiles are the largest group of geo-synthetics in terms of volume and are used in geo-technical engineering, heavy construction, building and pavement construction, hydro-geology, environment engineering. Technical Textiles is the fastest growing branch of textile industries worldwide with bright prospects. The total global sale of Technical Textiles in 1995 was US$42 bn. It is estimated to be US$72 bn in 2005 and is expected to reach US$126 bn by 2010. Asia is the chief producer and consumer of Technical Textiles.

Uses of different types of Geo-Textiles are as follows:

Woven geo-textiles concrete bases used for coastal works, water ways, embankments and in forming geocell for road

Nonwoven geo-textiles used for Filtration, drainage, reinforcement between soil stone or aggregate and in roads, railways works, erosion prevention and separation. As filter fabric for dams, under drainage system liners for pile foundation, coated pvc and bitumen s to skin traction

Knitted geo-textiles used Knitted bags for protection of dam's riverbank etc. Warp knitted fabric of Kevlar yarns used in automobile and marine application.

It is also used with foundations, soil, rock, earth or any other related material as an integral part of human man made project, structure or system.

No Stomach Bloat With Tri-Creatine Malate

Tri-creatine malate has been set on a pedestal above previous creatine supplements. The reason for this is due to the fact that it is much more soluble than its close relatives. Part of the reason that they are hard to regulate well is because creatine is not water-soluble. Therefore creatine supplements are difficult to absorb and be transported to the muscles for available energy. The element that sets it apart from the rest of the pack is that it molecularly bonds malic acid and creatine to formulate this beneficial supplement.

Malic acid on its own is responsible for enhancing energy production availability to the muscles. Creatine is the imperative element that muscles thrive on in order to grow and strength train. These two added together in a molecularly bonded relationship not only provide the benefits of creatine but also is equipped with a grand delivery system. This system enables the bodybuilder to enjoy a more stable and competent bodybuilding supplement. Building muscle mass and increasing strength goals are met much more consistently using tri-creatine malate than traditional forms of creatine supplement.

The structure that is formed between the molecularly bonded malic acid and creatine is gently and effectively broken down within the body. This is taken orally and works its way to the stomach. It is here that the acid contents in the stomach begin to break down the structure. The creatine is released into the stomach walls and absorbed by the cells in order to reach the blood stream more quickly. The absorption rate of it is the most attractive aspect of this supplement. A fast absorption rate means that those necessary nutrients are taken where they need to be much faster than a slow absorption rate. The muscles that are being used to strength train and build muscle advance much more efficiently using tri-creatine malate than most other forms of creatine supplements.

Many creatine supplements give a common side effect of water retention. This is usually one of the biggest complaints among users. As supplements are taken, the cells draw the water in and retain it giving the bloated feeling and look to muscles. It is good to know that creatine monohydrate is the biggest water retention supplement because there is not a water molecule present in the structure of this supplement. That is where this is considerably different and likely the very reason it is a much more preferred product. Tri-creatine malate contains a water molecule in its structural make up and provides hydration to the muscles that is literally second to none. The hydration takes place within the muscle giving it the solid muscle instead of the bloated feel given by water retaining products.

It isn't only muscle cell bloating and water retention that is complained about. Stomach bloating is a common side effect from other forms of creatine. Tri-creatine malate removes the chances for stomach bloating also by elimination of processing taking place within the stomach. It provides the hydration within the muscles leaving out the stomach completely. The bulking effect that occurs while taking it occurs in the muscles such as the hydration process occurs thereby avoiding the stomach bloating effect entirely.
